Zenith Ontology v0.4.0

v0.4.0 adds the canonical Rolodex vocabulary: Actor with the intended subclasses Person, Agent, and Organization, plus MEMBER_OF, OPERATED_BY, ASSIGNED_TO, OWNED_BY, and ATTRIBUTED_TO relationships. Organizations are Actors because collective entities can own and receive attribution for work.

This release separates directory identity from cryptographic authority. An Actor is not an authentication Subject, keypair, credential, wallet, secS capability, or .castaway vault. Directory relationships are descriptive and cannot grant mutation authority or widen scopes.

The Rolodex classes are published with runtimeLabel: false. No Neo4j label, constraint, migration, generic Work kind, HTTP route, lifecycle, or stored decoder changes in this release. Reified Membership/Role history, private contact storage, and visibility policy remain deferred to an explicit runtime and privacy design.

The v0.1.0, v0.2.0, and v0.3.0 bundles are unchanged and remain supported.

Compatibility

Zenith ontology v0.4.0 compatibility

v0.4.0 is additive over v0.3.0. The immutable v0.1.0, v0.2.0, and v0.3.0 releases remain supported and byte-identical.

  • Actor, Person, Agent, and Organization are new canonical classes.
  • Person, Agent, and Organization are subclasses of Actor.
  • MEMBER_OF, OPERATED_BY, ASSIGNED_TO, OWNED_BY, and ATTRIBUTED_TO are new descriptive object properties.
  • All new Rolodex classes have runtimeLabel: false.
  • Existing operation names, request/response schemas, Work kinds, receipt decoding, runtime labels, constraints, migrations, and lifecycle semantics are unchanged.
  • Existing actor_id strings remain valid. Consumers may resolve them to an Actor in the future but must not infer identity or authority from a directory record or caller payload.

Consumers that do not understand the new classes and predicates may ignore them while continuing to use existing operations. Consumers must keep pinning both the ontology version and manifest bundle digest.

Changes since v0.3.0

Compares the exact published bundles. Expand an entry to inspect its before and after values. Term counts exclude the ontology metadata record. File comparisons use manifest checksums; prose and runtime rules can change without new terms.
